The FBI San Diego Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBISDCAAA) is a community-based, volunteer-driven organization that supports the mission and outreach of the FBI San Diego Division.

We work to:

  • Promote awareness of the FBI’s role, operations, and community priorities.

  • Provide educational opportunities for our members and the public.

  • Create forums for dialogue between the FBI and the community.

  • Support community outreach initiatives and safety awareness programs.

  • Foster lifelong engagement between Citizens Academy graduates and the FBI.

  • Strengthen public understanding of the FBI’s work in keeping America safe.

Our Mission

Who We Are

We are proud to support and sponsor programs that promote safety, trust, and education across San Diego:

  • Community Outreach & Education: From safety awareness programs to public presentations, we help connect community members with law enforcement and intelligence leaders.

  • Youth Programs: We assist with the Teen Academy, Junior Special Agent Program, and the FBI’s Adopt a School initiative.

  • Victim Assistance Project: Launched in 2019, this program provides critical support and discretionary funding to victims in need.

  • Special Events: We co-sponsor public forums such as FBI Women Behind the Badge and support community events like National Night Out, Teddy Bear Drive, and Shop with a Cop.

  • Volunteerism: Our members give their time at outreach events, fundraisers, and educational forums to build safer, stronger communities.

The first FBI San Diego Citizens Academy class was established in 2001 and incorporated in 2004 to strengthen relationships between the FBI and the San Diego community. Since then, more than 500 participants across 20 classes have graduated—many of whom remain actively engaged through the Alumni Association.

As “Community Ambassadors of the FBI,” we serve as force multipliers by extending the Bureau’s reach into the community through service, education, and advocacy.

Graduates of the Citizens Academy are encouraged to join the Alumni Association and continue their journey of service and education. Together, we carry forward the FBI’s community outreach mission and ensure San Diego remains a place where safety, trust, and partnership thrive.
